Yakovlev Yak-3

The Yak-3 holds an important place in the prolific series of Yakovlev fighters. It was a version built expressly for combat at medium-low altitude which proved to have excellent overall characteristics and to be very competitive with the best aircraft in production at the time.
This version is from the Regiment de Chasse Normandie-Niemen, 303rd Air Division Soviet Air Force. Russia, 1944. Unit 6, Capt. Marcel Albert.
